It's been a tough year for the National Association of Realtors, from its landmark settlement in the commissions suits to ongoing DOJ scrutiny and an industry-wide battle over Clear Cooperation — but NAR is ending 2024 on a strong note when it comes to its overall membership count.

The company issued a statement after the settlement hearing, saying, "As the only U.S. brokerage that has saved consumers more than $1.6 billion in fees, Redfin never belonged in this case, and we're glad to resolve it and move forward."
Total existing home sales hit a 14-year slump, falling 1% in September compared to August and declining 3.5% year-over-year, according to the latest data from the National Association of Realtors.

The overall takeaway, T3 Sixty said, was that survey results "indicate a clear need for NAR to improve its communication and support efforts, address leadership and organizational issues and provide comprehensive training and resources."
